Person Profile | | Pierce was first approached to play the actor in the late eighties/early nineties but couldn't get out of his contract. He played the main character in Rimington Steele, a US television programme. He is credited with revitalising the franchise after the dismal years of the Timothy Dalton period. His films in cash terms have been the most successful ever. He originally signed on to do two films with an optional extra one but ended up doing four films. He was dumped from the films because he reputedly asked for too much money and also they wanted to have someone younger. |
