Character Profile | | Le Chiffre is an international banker for a terrorist organisation. When his investments go wrong, he has to claw back the cash. He does this by playing a high stakes game of poker at the Casino Royale. Bond is sent there to ensure he doesn't win therefore he becomes a target for the terrorists who he works for. In the book, his paymasters are the Russians but the film has been updated for the current international climate. |
