Synopsis

A rather poor half day as Jack has to spring a Mexican drug lord from prison and get him back over the border. He hasn't accounted for his partner who gets in the way. The Salazars plan to buy a high virulent disease from a Russian party to hold Los Angeles to ransom. When the deal falls through, the action returns to Los Angeles. Jack and the rest of CTU have to discover who is behind the virus and stop them. The terrorists set off a virus bomb in a hotel which CTU are forced to close off from the rest of the outside. Michelle controls the operations team in the hotel scene. Jack discovers that the terrorist leader is Stephen Saunders, a believed dead MI6 operative who worked with Jack to capture Victor Drazen. Jack uses every method open to him including using Stephen's daughter to stop the virus from being released.
