Synopsis

The film begins in black and white whilst James Bond is an ordinary agent as we see him complete the two tasks that he's required to do, so as to obtain his OO status. These are to assassinate a Japanese Cipher Expert then a Norweigan who got two British agents killed. M relunctantly grants his promotion. He's sent to Madagascar to investigate terrorist Mollaka. During those investigations, he learns about Le Chiffre, a financier for a terrorist organisation. He travels to the Carribean to investigate more. Le Chiffre has lost a lot of his paymaster's money and needs to get it back. The only way he can do so is to play a high-stakes Poker game and Bond is determind he's to loose a lot more and not just the money. The film will be notable amongst many Bond observers as there's no Q or Miss Moneypenny as both are absent from the book. In the book, Le Chiffre is a financier for the Russians but as the world has changed so has the film..
