This film is based on the first James Bond but had not been made into an official film until now. Casino Royale's film rights had been bought by another film production company who after making Bond a CIA agent then went onto turn the book into a Spoof with James Bond being played by Sir David Niven.
The film starts with Bond being sent to the Czech Republic to kill a traitor whose been selling secrets to the enemy and his contact. After gaining his 00 status, he is assigned to Madagascar to monitor a terrorist. When the operation goes wrong, James chases the terrorist through a building site and finally into what is believed to be the Namibian Embassy.
Angry at James having caused such chaos at the Embassy, she tells him to disappear. He leaves to do some private investigating which leads him to the Bahamas where he meets with Demitros and his wife Solange. After beating him at a game of cards, James takes Solange back to his place. Before he can enjoy her company, he runs off to catch a flight to Miami. Demitros is executing a plan to blow up a large commercial plane that would cause the air stock market to go into freefall. James deals with the terrorist but is arrested.
M gets Bond released who tells him to carry on the investigation and to go to Montenegro to ensure that Le Chiffre looses everything. British Government stakes him in the game for £10 Million along with £5 Million in reserves. The game is to take place over a number of days. When Bond looses the ten million, Lynd, the treasury agent sent to accompany him refuses to release the other five million. In desperation, he plots to kill Le Chiffre but is stopped from doing so by a man who reveals himself to be Felix Leiter. Felix tells him the American Government will give him the money to bankrupt Le Chiffre. Bond returns to the game and eventually bankrupts Le Chiffre.
Lynd and Bond dine then after Lynd is abducted and Bond races after to rescue her.
Bond has a car accident where he is pulled from the wreckage by Le Chiffre's men. Le Chiffre proceeds to torture Bond but is rescued by one of Le Chiffre's cronies.
Bond recupperates then goes to Venice to relax where he resigns because he's fallen in love with Lynd. After a bit of relaxation, he discovers that he's been betrayed by Lynd whose transferring the money to Mr White's organisation. Bond heads off to find her and tracks her down to a building. He attempts to rescue her but she commits suicide by preventing him from getting to her.
