Anger at the death of Dr No, Spectre tricks bond into coming to Istanbul. Spectre uses unwitting Tatiana with the ruse that she has the Lektor decoding device. When MI6 are told that a defector has the device, they despatch Bond to Istanbul. Also despatched on the Spectre side is Rosa Klebb and Donald 'Red' Grant, a pychopath who escaped from prison. When he arrives in Istanbul, he meets up with a British agent who takes him to a gypsy park. There he witnesses a dance between two gypsy but it turns into a gun fight. After aiding the gun fight, he calls a halt to the two women fighting. He meets Tatiana waiting in bed for him in the hotel. The next day, Bond gets as much information from Tatiana as possible and passes it back to HQ in England. He requests a visa for Tatiana and when it is received, they catch the train home. During the journey, Tatiana is drugged and Bond has to deal with Grant who escapes as the train slows down. Bond and a still dopey Tatiana get off the boat and after walking a while, come across a flower truck. They are spotted by a helicopter who chases Bond, leaving Tatiana alone. Once Bond has despatched the helicopter, he takes the truck to the waterside. He gets a boat and heads to Venice. Spectre are not far behind which he has to escape from. Once in Venice, he has to deal with Klebb who's disguised as a house maid with knives in her shoes.
