Bond is sent to Bilboa to retrieve money that belongs to Robert King, a friend of M's. Robert is owner of King Industries, a multi-national oil corporation. Once he's retrieved the money, its returned to Robert at MI6 HQ. On touching the money, King is killed by a missle fired from a boat. Bond gives chase to the Millenium Dome. As the assassin attempts to escape in a hot air balloon, Bond follows but she blows herself up. The MI6 team retreat to a Scottish Castle where they talk about the situation. Bond discovers that Renard, who had kidnapped Roberts daughter some years ago is back. M sends Bond to protect Elektra. As he attempts to protect her, his investigations leads him to a Russian Nuclear Disarnment centre where he comes face to face with Renard. Renard escapes with a nuclear weapon. It seems that Renard wants to destroy the oil pipeline so Bond with the help of Dr Christmas Jones leave to disarm the bomb. It becomes apparent that the bomb was a low level bomb and someone is playing games. Bond and Jones fake their death. Elektra reveals her true identity and kidnaps M. She takes her to Istanbul where Renard plans a nuclear disaster.
