Undoubtably, he is the most famous Spy in the world. It is reckoned that over half the worlds population has seen one of the films. His tune is recognisable as the name. It is rumoured there are words to the tune but haven't not been able to find them.
James Bond was born to Andrew Bond, a Scottish Arms Representative and his Swiss wife Monique. Whilst on a mountaineering holiday without James, they had an accident where they were killed. He went to live with his Aunt who supported him through Eton College then onto Cambridge University to study Oriental Languages. He initially joins the Royal Navy then Naval Intelligence which is the same organisation that the creator Ian Fleming worked for. Since M.I.6. ( Secret Intelligence Service ) has come out of the shadows, the franchise owners have redeployed him to that organisation.
He begins as an ordinary agent but after completing two assassinations he gains OO status. The OO means eyes only but can also mean Overseas Operations. The assassinations are detailed in Casino Royale. After rejecting Casino Royale for such a long time, the producers decided to go back to the first film.

| | Dave | July 1, 2007, 7:59 am | | Yes, I was just wondering, is that true that Commander Bond was a Green Beret Combat Intelligence Specialist for the Royal Navy Royal Marine 3Commando Brigade Unit at some point before being hired by M.I.6 and is it also true that that is a requirement before they will even consider you a candidate for their Double-0 Counter-Espionage section?
