A secret agent with a difference in that he doesn't use guns to defeat his enemy. No one ever killed (*I presume) like in the A-Team. Also
like the A-Team, he built contraptions out of what items he can find. He could deal with any situation including preventing a nuclear disaster.
He was recruited into the organisation when he helped Pete out
using his ingenuity. He is invited to join the U.S. Department of External Services then later when Pete leaves for the Phoenix Foundation, so
does MacGyver. MacGyver and Pete are the only character thats occur the most number of times. Jack is one of MacGyvers friends who reappears
every so often. After 7 series, production moved to a couple of films. After MacGyver finished, he moved onto Stargate SG1.
His first name is used very minimally, you have to be lucky to hear him say it. One last thing, if you ever wanted to remember what eighties
hairstyles were like, just watch MacGyver esp. the character himself.
